Vision/Hearing Loss?
Do you struggle to thread a needle?  Have trouble hearing the conversation around you?  Has the type in the newspaper become impossibly small?  Many seniors experience changes in their vision & hearing as they age. These changes can range from mildly annoying to frustrating & isolating. On Tuesday, August 30th at 1:00 PM the Senior Center is pleased to host a pair of speakers who will address these issues. Marshall Flax from the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired and Bette Mentz-Powell from the Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will be here to address age-related vision & hearing changes. They will demonstrate equipment that can make coping with those changes easier and will also answer questions. If you have noticed changes in your own hearing or vision, or in a loved one or friend, this program can provide you with a wealth of insight & information.  Please sign up by Monday, August 29th to reserve a seat.   835-5801
